Holy Shiloh!

With September 30 approaching, the Renegade/Grace pups will be 9 months old. Just recently, we received updates on three of our babies, Mr Sampson, Miss Darby, and Miss Hope.

Sampson was to the vets and at 8 1/2 months weighs just shy of 90 lbs. I received a compliment about him that "his head is huge, like a big old bear!"

Darby was wicketed at 27" and weighs 75 lbs! Awesome size for a female for this age.

Hope is as tall as her "sister" shiloh, Hannah (Honey/Toran).
We hope to get more info soon, and more new pictures as well.

Willow: Adopted!

Willow

Miss Willow has left to live in her new home with a new buddy:
A Golden Retreiver named Buddy! She is only going to be about 10 miles from us, so we will be able to see her often.

More Sampson!

In our last post about Sampson, we titled it
"Sampson is Mr Handsome!"
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of visiting Sampson, Sheba and their family. We got to see in person just how stunning both of these Shilohs are! They make quite a pair, and rumor has it that they can not make it thru PetSmart with out being stopped several times. We just had to share a couple of the pictures taken this past weekend of two of our babies who have been blessed by an awesome family.
BelleGrace is very proud of both of these Shilohs.

Darling Darby

Darby is our stunning yellow girl from this litter. She reminded us so much of Grace's sister, we used to call her "little Remy". Look at what a beautiful young lady she is developing in to. Darby lives on a farm in MO, and loves her mom. From the pics below, they look as if they have tons of fun together!

Sampson is Mr Handsome!

Hi! My name is Sampson and I live with a great family in PA. I have lots of room to run, kids to play with, kitties and bunnies to watch, and a wonderful big sister named Sheba.

Congratulations to our Stars!

Two of the Renegade/Grace puppies have completed the new AKC STAR Puppy Program and were awarded their certificates and medals. The STAR Puppy classes are similar to the adult CGC (Canine Good Citizen) program only it is designed for puppies under the age of 6 months. Look at the great pictures and share in Hope's and Peri's accomplishments!

Willow

Belle Grace's Whip-O-Will aka Willow
Willow is 5 1/2 months old and is available to an approved home on a co-own. She is a very sweet girl, but a tad independant. She is very athletic, and can climb fences so her new owner should channel that energy and desire into agility/obedience. She is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and is working on perfecting her housebreaking skills.

For more information on Willow, please contact us.

Willow and Peri

Willow (Burgandy girl) and Peri had a great time outside over the weekend during one of the brief periods of no rain. Enjoy the pictures we got before the storms moved in again! Willow is still available to an approved home.

Available puppies

Black boy and Burgandy girl are still waiting for their forever homes.

Burgandy girl, aka Lil Foxy, is a big tease, and her new owner will be hard pressed to stay one step ahead of her. She will excel in agility, as she has the coordination and the drive. A very fun pup, she needs someone who can challenge her intelligence with new adventures in learning.

Black boy who we are calling Parker, is a wonderful boy; outgoing, friendly, active, and fun. He has good social skills and walks nicely on a leash. He will do well in a family with children as he loves to play.

For more information, please contact us.

Hope's First Day at School

Miss Hope goes off to school, her first day at Puppy-K.
Looks like she is ready for fun!

Hey mom, did you remember to pack my lunch?

Do I get to ride the school bus?
Maybe if I wait right here, they will let me get on.

Life's too short
Take time to smell the flowers.
Mom, can I take a couple to my teacher?

Cream Girl: Adopted!

Grace's Cream girl has been adopted and is now living in Maryland. Her new name is Queenie, and believe me, she does indeed think she is the "cat's meow"! I can just tell she will be well loved and spoiled rotten in her new home. Congratulations Queenie and family!

Periwinkle Girl

This girl has the "look". We have been watching her since she was 4 weeks old, and she still has that "something special" about her. Looking into her eyes reminds me of looking into Foxy's eyes. Foxy is who we were trying to recreate with this breeding and it looks as if we succeeded.

Periwinkle girl has been named BelleGrace's Toast of the Town. Being born the day before New Years Eve, it seems fitting. Her call name has not been decided yet so for now she will remain as Peri.

Girls Day Out!

It was the girls turn to go visiting, so off we went to see Hope in her new home.
It was a lovely day, plenty of sunshine, green grass, and a slight breeze.
What more could a puppy ask for?

Gone Visiting!

We are off to go visiting! SnowFlake Shilohs is only a short distance away. The pups and ofcourse Grandma Foxy were invited to come play. A good time was had by all, both canine and human.
Watch the slide show below and see what fun we had.

As you can see from the pictures above, both Orange boy and Burgandy girl are going to look like their Grandma. Periwinkle is a clone of her mother, Grace. Cream girl and Black boy will resemble their sire, Renegade. Green boy is marked just like Ren, but has that beautiful gray sable coloring. And Navy is unique in himself, resembling his Malamute ancestors.
Please contact us for more information on availability.

Litter Evaluation Report: We were extremely pleased with the results of the litter evaluation on the Renegade/Grace pups. This litter of pups is very people oriented, and will bond tightly with their families. They will want to be where their humans are, much like their mom, dad, and grandma. They are all very loving, cuddly pups that will train easily. Born premature, they are slightly smaller than normal Shiloh pups of this age, but will catch up. Hearts and bites are good, and all the boys have both testicles.

We succeeded in doing what we set out to do with this litter. We were hoping to produce pups with awesome heads: well defined stops, short broad muzzles, small ears, and most important, underjaw. Everyone of these pups has beautiful underjaw! We were also looking for broad chests, good stifle and wither, which presented itself in at least 3/4 of the pups. Lastly, we are sticklers for proper tails and tail set and all of the pups, with the exception of one with a slight kink, have beautiful saber tails, that will carry properly.

Unfortunately, we also saw a lack of pigment in some of the pups, even to the point of one boy sporting the mask from his Malamute heritage. We found it interesting that the duals all have awesome pigment with rich black muzzles but the sables vary from salt and pepper, to slightly faded, to full mask. Overall, an exceptional litter in temperament, health and conformation.

The Babies are Six Weeks Old!

The babies are growing so fast, it is hard to believe six weeks has gone by.
We are seeing such personable puppies, happy, bouncy, cuddly and fun!
This week, we set them up for stacked shots, at least as good as one can get for six week old pups, who love to be on the move!
Mr. Green: Our pick male, he is developing into a beautiful pup with the classic Shiloh look. We would love to see this boy move forward into a breeding home.
Mr. Black: A well balanced pup with a super personality, this boy will resemble Shilo from the Foxy/Blue litter, quite handsome!
Mr. Orange: We will be watching this boy for another two weeks, he has some good potential and is a love.
Mr Navy: This boy is the biggest and heaviest, but has faded pigment, stemming from the influence of the Malamute added years ago. He is going to resemble a wolf in coloring once full grown and will definitely be an attention grabber. Sweet as sugar, he is very loving.
Miss Periwinkle: Our pick female, this girl is a looker, and if she isn't snatched up into a breeding home, she will be staying right here. She has the intense, piercing look in her eyes, and is a beautiful well balanced pup.
Miss Cream: Another really nice girl, although short in the body, we will watch her for another two weeks too. She is a fun, bouncy pup and a real talker!
Miss Burgandy: This girl looks just like Precious from the Foxy/Blue litter and will resemble her Grandma Foxy when full grown. She is a very soft pup and will need a gentle hand in her upbringing.
Miss Purple: Hope, our shining star. This little girl beat the odds, and although small, she is all heart. You know what they say, "Good things come in small packages!" Hope has a home close by and has been named BelleGrace's Rainbow of Hope by her new owner.
Miss Yellow: The biggest girl, this Remy look alike is another beautiful pup with a fabulous head, good length of leg, overall a nice package.

Wow, I can say we had reasons for doing this breeding: to pull in small ears, good underjaw which is lacking in many Shilohs, big broad heads with definite stops, wide chests, and to lock in the look of Foxy and Grace. I can't wait for two more weeks and the LER.
For more information on this fabulous litter, and to bring one of these special babies into your home, please contact us. Both males and females are still available.

First Trip Outside!

The babies had their first trip outside and had a blast. They discovered a whole new world outside their whelping pen. This litter reminds us so much of the litter Grace is from, the Foxy/Blue litter. Yellow girl looks like Remy, Burgandy girl looks like Precious, Black boy looks like Shilo, and Periwinkle is a feminine version of Smokey. Cream girl will resemble her grandsire, Blue.
Visit this link and see for yourselves.
http://www.bellegraceshilohs.com/pups_previous_04FoxyBlue.htm
We continue to see these babies developing into exactly what we were breeding for: puppies with wide heads, tiny ears, short broad muzzles, beautiful stops, and underjaw! Generally, we are seeing broad chests, bodies, and mostly good tails. Their personalities are equal to Grace's first litter: loving and cuddly, happy and bouncy, fun puppies all around. These babies are going to grow into absolutely stunning adults. Lil' Hope, although our smallest girl, is still well balanced and such fun. The pups are already paper trained, and growing up much too fast.
Please contact us for more information on this fabulous litter!

We Are 4 1/2 weeks old now!

We are now 4 1/2 weeks old and are starting to look like real puppies! We bark and play and pull each others ears and tails. We are eating like little piggies, we love feeding time! Mom stops in and visits us from time to time.

Update:
We are seeing some beautiful heads on most of the pups, and beautiful small ears. Bodies are broad, most have adequate bone for their age, and for the most part, good tails. Pictures just don't do them justice. At 4 1/2 weeks, here are our observations. Please remember these babies can change dramatically over the next 3 weeks. It is impossible to tell at this point who will be companion quality and who will be breeding quality.
Green boy: Stunning, beautiful head, great underjaw, all over well balanced, our pick for males.
Yellow girl: This girl is the biggest, a happy go lucky personality, and she reminds of so much of Grace's sister, Remy at BearPaw Shilohs.
Periwinkle girl: She is as broad as the boys, has a beautiful head and good pigment. She is one of our pick girls. She is a dark sable
Black Boy: Such a sweetie, although a little smaller than the other boys, he will catch up. He has a beautiful head, and is going to be a very dark dual.
Burgandy girl: Our "little Foxy", this girl reminds us so much of her grandma. She is going to be a striking red-brown sable.
Cream girl: This girl looks as if she is going to have it all, just like her sire, Renegade. At 4 1/2 weeks, she has a perfect head, is overall well balanced and has that perfect saber tail. A black/red dual, she is a keeper!
Orange boy: He is our teddy bear, such a cuddler. He is also going to resemble his grandma Foxy in coloring, a red-brown sable.
Navy boy: He is a big beautiful boy, with that rare masky look to his face, a throw back from the small % of malamute blood found in the Shiloh.
Purple girl: Lil' Hope, the runt of the litter is still the smallest, about 1/2 the size of all the other babies. Although very healthy and quite spunky, we do not expect her to make full shiloh-size. She will be needing a very special home.

Babies first meal!

Our first meal! In the first picture, we are lined up around the dish like a pinwheel!
In the middle picture, we are enjoying our food, even to the point of wearing some! We will need a bath when we are done.
In the third picture, you can see we cleaned it up! In fact Green boy took over the pan, insisting it was all his. Hope, the Purple girl couldn't even squeeze in.
Mom needs to explain to him about sharing.
