The Waiting Game

Oh, the waiting game could kill you! It is so very hard to wait and see if Grace conceived. Her x-ray is scheduled for Dec 22, just 3 days before Christmas. What a wonderful blessing it will be if she is indeed carrying babies. She is looking good, her belly has a gentle rounding and after the first few weeks of nausea, her appetite has taken off. She is now eating like a small pony!
But nature can play games, and dogs can/do have false pregnancies. All signs are there and then poof! it goes away. So until we actually see babies on the x-ray, we will continue the waiting game.

We are so very excited to announce the breeding of Grace to Renegade. This is a breeding that we have been planning for two years now, ever since Renegade first came to our home. The combination of the old lines behind these two shilohs will produce the true, old line shiloh look: broad heads, small ears, broad bodies, heavy bone, good tails, and excellent movement. Personalities will range from medium-soft to medium-hard, with most falling into that medium range. Medium tempered puppies are good, all around stable tempered pups that just "go with the flow" and take things in stride.

Grace's last litter gave us some exceptional pups, huge bone and size and incredibly sweet, loving, cuddly temperaments. We have males hitting 50 lbs at just 4 months old with paws bigger than their sire, Toran. All have that wonderful, solid, stable temperament and are exceptionally intelligent and inuitive.

BelleGrace's Miss Congeniality TT, AKA Gracie is our very beautiful Foxy/Blue daughter. Gracie is a fun, happy girl, loving life to its fullest. She has excellent bone, a beautiful broad head, small ears, deep rich pigment, and exceptional movement. Her dam, NS bCh Zion's Foxy Wildthing CGC is a gorgeous red-brown sable with an impressive background. Her sire, Zion's Color Me Blue, is a Timber Son bred by DaySpring Shilohs.

We have decided to take her to our newest stud, Renegade. riCh American Renegade O'BelleGrace already has three Best in Shows under his belt and is championed in both Rarities and the NKC. His background boasts some of the great ancestors like Chaos, Raven, Laz, Meg, and Goldie. He has beautfiul free flowing movement and is very well balanced in conformation. His temperament is soft, easy going and willing to please. His sire, Betterways-Zion Army of One AKA Warba is a Meg/Konrad son. His dam, Zions Princess of the Woods AKA Kiera, is the beautiful Jessie/Sirius daughter from StraussHaus Shilohs.

This breeding is anticipated to produce pups that will resemble the Shilohs of old: heavy boned, broad heads and bodies, small ears, noble presence.
